Milano. 10.55 am.

Good morning! Today's a cloudy but warm morning in Milan. Yesterday was spent cruising about town, in via della Spiga, which possibly could be Milan's nicest (!), via Sant'Andrea and Via Montenapoloeone, encore une fois. Yesterdays wow should have been the Viktor&Rolf upside down world, though we did not manage to find number 14 in Via Sant'Andrea, perhaps today we will have more luck.

Still, shopping was great and the Dolce&Gabbana store (via della Spiga) could be one of the fanciest boutiques around. The interior is black decadence and baroque, very D&G and ever so chic! And I am infatuted with everything Dolce&Gabana this season. From the sequin bags to the shoes and heirloom jewellery. We also passed the D&G martini bar which is located in the male boutique though I have not yet located the Gold Bar, which should be a blast!

Yesterday was great for people watch as well. One gets a bit depressed though, watching the flashing of brands on your peers. One must learn to be proud despite inferiority in birth, and, obviousely, wealth. That isn't to hard, actually. To be a snob is quite my flair.

We had out afternoon coffee at the Gucci café in the Galleria. Epensive but not to over-the-top. Alexandra had a 5 euro cappuccino, which was heavenly, Elisabetta had a 3,50 euro espresso from Brazil (there is quite a selection of beans), and myself had a Infuso di frutti di bosco, 7 euros, with biscotti. Elisabetta also had the petit GG-praline. Soo much fun!!

We had lovely, lovely ice cream (zafferano and white chocolate) in the Navigli, and I photographed the beautiful canal. After some food shopping and a late dinner consisting of salad, mozzarella, tomatoes and lots of balsamic vinegar and taralli (a kind of grissini from Puglia) we prepared for une sortie. Where? of course Armani Privé, possibly the chicest spot in Milan.

We went there with a good friend which studies here in Milan. Despite a slight feeling of insecurity regarding outfit and personal allure we had such a great time. if it weren't for the boys (men?!) I'm not sure we would have managed to get in. It is quite selezionato. There were soo many young brats from Milans elite there spending huge amount of money on tequilas and cocktails and magnums. The bartender told us they had been there sinc six o'clock starting then when an aperitivo and at 3 they were almost unconscious by the amount of alcohool they had consumed. Open bars are not too good. Quite a night, eh?! There were some VIPs there as well. An italian comedian, rather famous, as well a a chinese model whose name I yet haven't manage to recall. Still, pretty gens and the best dressed in Milan. That is quite depressing at a start but after a couple of drinks and possibly the strongest G&T ever I manged to feel more at ease. Then we had such a great time, cruising, people watching and dancing away until 3 in the night when it actually closes. So, a review: drinks aren't to good. Strong as hell, they gave my a glass of pure gin with the tonic a side, how is one supposed to drink that??!! And Elisabettas drink was again made of syrup, not extract, which is poor for a club of this calibre. It is not to big and is located in the basement of the armani superstore on via Manzoni. It is really hard to get in, we went there with regulars, but still I don't think it is impossible to enter. Put on you fanciest clothes and highest heels, and find yourself a confident male handbag to accompany you. We had the best of times and even if drinks weren't to good I could really recoment this hip venue. To-night perhaps Parco Sempione (old fashion, just cavalli bar and bianco), which are the best summer-venues is town. Bye for now!
