Milano. 12.22 pm.

Encore ciao! The Milano report so far. Thursday evening was a cosy dinner with friends and lots of chianti wine. Afterwards we went to a rather chic bar in the Navigli, Bond. It truly lived up to its name. I cannot decide whether the walls seemed to be made of velvet or concrete. Rather Bond-ish, though with all its gold details and furnitutre that could have been Roberto Cavalli with all its crocodile and alligator and suede. We drank a rather sirupy Rossini, though always nice with some champy. Lovely, lovely strawberry season. Lots of fancy girls with killer shoes, mostly stilettos, and nude legs. The barmen were rather show-off, though not the best bartenders. We hade a nice walk along the Navigli canale, very cosy. In bed at two.

Friday began in a reasonable time. We woke up at ten. Awaited Elisabetta to come back from the university and then took the tram to Piazza Duomo. We did the galleria though skipped Pradas original store and the Gucci café and went to via Montenapoleone. But not until having visited Zara, Sisley, H&M and la rinascentes wonderful perfume and beauty department where we checked out the brand new D&G makeup range with Scarlett Johnsson as leading lady in the ad campaign plus Narciso Rodriguez new perfume and Guccis new Flora. As for the D&G makeup I think it looks really cheap, such a disappointment. But still, D&G is probably not known for its integrity when it comes to the brand. I liked both the frangrance from Narciso Rodriguez and Guccis Flora. But i think I will remain faithful to my Gucci by Gucci this summer. I love its darker tones. It is truly inspirtional to watch your fellow shoppers, since they are such a display of style and wealth, especially in via Montenaopleone. We made it halfways then met up with some male friends for lunch at a panetteria in the vicinity of the Duomo. I was indecisive between a Tartufo panino or the one which I eventually picked with grilled augergine, scamorza and parma ham. Delicious! Afterwards we headed back to the triangolo d'oro for some more shopping. We finished off via Montenapoleone and headed for the Armani superstore in via Manzoni. Quite nice, though the food and flower department did not live up to my expectations. The bookshop was truly great though, I found soo many books that I could have bought on the spot!! Cravings. We went to via Verri where Alexander McQueen, Burberry Prorsum, Jil Sander, Tom Ford and Dsquared have their stores. I adore the McQueen collection as well as Raf Simons for Jil Sander. The fringing is esquisite. On of my other favoutrite collections is, of course, Gucci. I adore their floaty dresses for summer. We walked down via Sant'Andrea but we will do the stores to-day.

At five Elisabetta and I had our first aperitivo of the evening. A glass of prosecco with some mini-sandwiches and patatine. I could have my aperitivo every day, luckily for my poids, there is no such culture in Sweden. A quick-y in the apartmement to get ready for the evening which took off in the Versace theatre, where the fashion shows take place, in a bar called Twenty where we had our happy-hour aperitivo, a had a Mumm-champagne Bellini, together with the buffet. We spend a lovely time there with our friends then headed off for yet another location, a pizzeria Terazza where we ordered in some bottles of Sangiovese wine and two sliced pizzas to share. Lovely time! Next we went to Milans best ciocolateria for some crepes. Probably the best chocolate I have ever tasted. Yet another bar and then we headed for the Duomo and La Banque, a really chic venue where Milanos crème de la crème enjoyed their evening. We had such a nice time and were there until closing hours, at five. A really, really lovely evening.

To-day the plan is shopping on via della Spiga and via Sant'Andrea plus Corso Como 10 and for happy hour Just Cavalli bar. As for nightclubbing to-night we are not yet ready with the plans, but surely we will try to have just a nice a fabolous night as yesterdays.
